SynbiCITE Webinar Series

As a result of the continuing coronavirus crisis, SynbiCITE is organising a series of webinars. These will be roughly on a monthly basis and cover a range of topics – leading up to SynbiTECH 2022 in early February. The plan is to organise SynbiTECH 2022 to be primarily a physical conference at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Central London.

IP Workshop | 21st April 2021

with Devanand Crease from Keltie

The first webinar of the series was an IP workshop which will gave an introduction to IP, looked at how to do some basic searches and what investors/partners look for in due diligence. The session was given by Devanand Crease, a Chartered Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney and UK and European Design Attorney at Keltie.

Dev has extensive experience of life sciences including: genomics, epigenetics, food science and processing, functional foods and cosmetics, agri-bio, protein biochemistry, molecular diagnostics, synthetic biology, and stem cells. He also handles subject matter in the chemical fields including: petrochemicals, biofuels, fuel formulations, polymer chemistry, pharmaceuticals and medicinal formulations. Dev has developed particular expertise in medical device technology, specifically in the area of intra-vascular and endoscopic catheters and stents.



SynBio SME Experience | 19th May 2021 at 3pm

Our second webinar of the series was on Wednesday 19th May at 3pm. It was focused on the Synbio SME Experience. Richard Kitney and Paul Freemont were joined by Jim Ajioka from Colorifix, Jevan Nagarajah from Better Dairy and Henrik Hagemann from Puraffinity. They discussed their individual experiences within a SynBio SME.
