This afternoon event showcasing work going on at Imperial in the area of Engineering Biology is hosted by the Synthetic Biology Hub and the Industrial Biotechnology Hub.

The event will include a keynote talk on ‘UK Government Strategy for Engineering Biology’ from Professor Janet Bainbridge OBE (DIT) and presentations from leaders in the field from industry and Imperial. Talks will be followed by a poster and networking session, highlighting work being carried out in the following thematic areas:

• Foundational tools and technologies
• Advanced materials
• Vaccines and biologics
• Diagnostics and devices
• Commodity and speciality chemicals
• Waste and water remediation
